Safar Sahyadri Trekkers organised a trek to Sandhan Vally on 23 and 24 February 2019.

About:

Mountain, Nature, Valley, Challenge, Rappelling, Survival and Adventure Sandhan valley is known Wonder of nature & splendid of Sahyadri (Western Ghats) located on the west side of beautiful Bhandardara region, near Samrad village. Water carved valley of 200 ft deep and about 1.5 long. Brilliant & deep narrow rock floored ravine between the two high walls of a mountain range. At some places, its width is less than 3 ft so that at some places sun rays unable to reach. So it’s called the valley of the shadow.

The Valley surrounded with mighty Alang, Madan & Kulang (Known as AMK- a toughest trek in Sahyadri) Ratangad, Ajoba & Kalsubai 5400 ft. the highest peak in Maharashtra) mountain ranges. At the end of the valley, you get a magnificent view of high cliffs & deep valleys.

01:30 am: start travel to Samrad village by Private vehicle then rest in Village Home.
5.00Am wake up call
5.00 To 5.30 Tea & Breakfast Time
5.30 Start The Trek
Cross the waist height water Body after 10 min of a trek in the valley.
Pack Lunch on the Way In the valley.
(chikan bhakri or chapatibhaji)
Rappeling activity on 3 Rock patches by Expert Lokal Guide.
7.00Pm End The Trek & Move Towards Dehane Village
Dehane To Asangaon by Prebook 4 wheeler.
Rich Dadar station (Approximate ) 10.30Pm

1)carry your Return Train Ticket for Kasara compulsory
2)Carry Your Empty Lunch Box (Tiffin) Compulsory
3)Good haversack bag to put in all the things to be carried. Wear Full Track pant, Tshirt or Full Shirt.
3)A bottle of water (1 ltr)
4)camera(optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery (at own risk)
5)Electoral powder ,2 lemon,some snack,biscuits.
6) Personal medicine & plastic bag, odomas or same brand.
7) Good Trekking shoes, towel and extra clothes.
