Fireflies festival 2024 Maharashtra arrives before the monsoon starts the weather between summer & rainy season, a period of one month where you can see Firefly. These tiny female fireflies sparkle and shine to emit a glow. It’s nature’s own light show. Fireflies typically use bioluminescent to shine at twilight to attract mates. Firefly in my room lighting bugs brings magic to your summer night. Play with these little creatures while they keep amusing you all night long. Photographers, be ready with your cameras, to capture the sight and save it forever. Add to this the fun of a camping night in the folds of majestic Sahyadri.

About Kalvantin Durg Trek :-
Kalavantin Durg is a 2,250 ft (686 m) high summit located in the Western Ghats, near the Prabalgad fort in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is also known as Kelve Teen, Kalavantinicha Sulka, or Kalavantin Pinnacle
The trek to the top of the Kalavantin Durg is considered one of the most challenging ones in the Western Ghats. The summit is accessible via a 3 km hike from the Thakurwadi village in Karjat taluka.

First come first basis

( Day 01 Saturday )

Meeting point :
Panvel Railway Station
Timing : 05:00 pm

06:00 pm Reach Base village.
08:00 pm Reach at Prabalmachi.
After Dinner Enjoy the glimpse of Fireflies
& Enjoy Tent Camping with Bornfire.

( Day 02 Sunday )

06:00 am Start Ascending Kalavantin Trek
07:30 am Reach on top
09:00 am Reach Prabalmachi & have Breakfast
11:00 am Reach Thakurwadi Base
12:00 pm Reach at Panvel Railway station.
Trek end with happy memories.

2) Good grip shoes, extra Sliper (Compulsory)
3) A bottle of water (2 ltr) compulsory
4) camera(optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry(at own risk)
5) Personal medicine & plastic bag, odomas or same brand, Torch, Rainkot
6) Extra pair of cloths if required by you. (Double Wrap in plastic bag avoid drenched)
7) Any one original photo ID proof
8) Some ready eat food like plum cake, biscuits, fruits,Paratha/Thepala/Boiled Eggs etc,Glucon-D or Electrol
9) Full Sleeves T-Shirt & Full Trek Pant.

Things To Keep In Mind
Expect sluggish conditions at places around because you would be visiting it soon after the rainfall (most probably!). Mind your surroundings. Don’t flash a torch at a tree full of fireflies. They go mad upon seeing the light.
The worms are not warm, they emit light because of the phenomenon called bioluminescence. So when they sit on you, allow them to walk. Don’t get scared.

Stay : In case it rains Home stay will be provided instead of tent stay depends on Rain
