Vishramgad, a fort steeped in history and named in honor of the legendary Shivaji Maharaj, who famously rested here during his travels in November 1679. It symbolizes the valor and strategic acumen of Shivaji Maharaj, a revered figure in Indian history. The fort’s location on the border of Nashik and Ahmednagar District further adds to its significance, as it served as a crucial point of defense and observation during its prime.

Aundha Fort serves as a remarkable vantage point for monitoring the surrounding area, offering breathtaking views that stretch far into the horizon. This strategic location not only provides a sense of historical significance but also allows visitors to appreciate the natural beauty of the landscape. The final stretch to the top of Aundha Fort is particularly exhilarating; it is meticulously carved into a large, rugged rock face. To aid trekkers in their ascent, sturdy metal chains have been installed along the path, transforming this part of the journey into an adrenaline-pumping experience. The combination of physical exertion and the thrill of climbing enhances the overall adventure, making it a memorable part of the trek for all who dare to undertake it.
