Kaas Pathar, located in the Satara District of Maharashtra, India, is a breathtaking plateau renowned for its vibrant wildflower blooms, especially Orchids and carnivorous plants. The best time to visit this natural wonder is during the monsoon season, from August to October. As you trek through the moderate 1-2 hour hike, you’ll be surrounded by the stunning beauty of nature. The plateau, situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level, offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Witness the rare and exotic wildflowers, including Orchids and carnivorous plants like Pitcher Plant and Sundew, that dot the landscape.
Thoseghar Waterfall, situated in the same district as Kaas Pathar, is one of the highest waterfalls in India, plummeting from a height of approximately 1,000 feet. The best time to visit this mesmerizing waterfall is also during the monsoon season, from July to October. The easy to moderate 1-2 hour trek through lush forests offers scenic views and the opportunity to spot various bird species and butterflies. As you reach the waterfall, you’ll be awestruck by the breathtaking sight and sound of the cascading water. The area also offers picnic spots and relaxation areas, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and photographers.

Day 0, Saturday 28 September 2024

– 12:00 AM: Depart from Pune by private vehicle

Day 1 Sunday 29 September 2024
– 05:30 AM: Reach Kaas Plateau & rest in the serene meadow
– 06:00 AM: Freshen up & Breakfast with a scenic vista
– 07:00 AM: Introduction & Instructions for the adventure
– 07:30 AM: Explore Kaas Plateau & take eco-friendly photos amidst the bloom
– 10:30 AM: Depart for Thoseghar Waterfall, feeling wanderlust
– 11:00 AM: Reach Thoseghar Waterfall & enjoy the cascade
– 02:00 PM: Lunch in a rustic oasis
– 03:30 PM: Start return journey, taking one last glimpse of the horizon
– 11:00 PM: Reach Mumbai, with memories of the flourishing trek.
