Bhimashankar is an ancient shrine situated in the Sahyadri hills the state of Maharashtra. It is one of the well known Jyotilinga, amonst the twelve jyotirlingas situated all over India. Bhimashankar is located in the village of Bhorgiri 50 km north west of Khed, near Pune .
In the recent times it has gained tremendous significance since it was declared as “WILD LIFE SANCTUARY”. The area around Bhimashankar is covered with thick dense jungle also located on top of the sahyadri mountain range.It is also becoming one of the attractive and well known religous places in Maharastra as well as in India.

Gupt Bhimashankar as the name suggests is the secret shiv-linga that remains submerged in water from the river Bhima flowing near Bhimashankar temple.. Its a wonderful trek to get the true Jungle Experience.

The itinerary for the event is as follow:-

Meeting point :
Borivali National Park
Timing : 09.30 Pm
Route :- Borivali, Andheri,Sion,Vashi Panvel
Pickup On Route till kalmaboli
(Highway to Highway only)

(Day 1 Sunday 12 Jan 2025)

– Reach bhimashankar by 4-5 am
– Freshen up at room and ready for darshan
– Darshan time 6 am
– After darshan visit Gupt Bhimashankar, it’s dense forest trail, 30-40 mins
– Back to the Bhimashankar by 11am – 12pm
– Lunch time
– Start return journey by 1.00 pm
– Reach Mumbai by 8-9 pm (depends on traffic)
